Mr. Hairston is an experienced healthcare professional who is highly skilled in program design and development of specialized clinical services. He has implemented operational and clinical administrative policies for non-profit and private practice settings. Mr. Hairston is part of the clinical faculty at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine.
His diverse clinical and managerial background encompasses both chemical dependency and mental health services for adults and adolescents. Mr. Hairston has worked for Mental Health Systems in San Diego, California, for thirteen years, where he managed several mental health and forensic treatment programs as well as chemical dependency programs.
Upon leaving Mental Health Systems, Mr. Hairston began his second career with Kaiser Permanente. During his tenure, he was promoted to the Director of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine until he retired in March 2013 after 15 years of service.
Mr. Hairston holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in addition to a master’s degree in Health Administration. He is part of the Clinical Faculty at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine, where he provides instructions for first and second-year medical students.
